Music Industry

Purpose of a music video:
The purpose is to lure audiences in to an interesting music video so that they will buy the song that is used for the video. It's main purpose is to sell the artist/ video as a product. Music videos can allow an audience to feel as if they have become more intimate with the artist of the music video so they will have a stronger connection to the song that the video features and want to buy it.

Where is it possible to watch a music video:
Music videos are shared/shown on almost all major social media sites: Facebook, twitter, Instagram.
They are also able to be bought on sites such as Itunes where people are able to watch their music video without internet, and anywhere they go.
With all this social media sharing music videos it is almost imposable not to stumble across one, as they are being advertised so much mainly through word of mouth.

Music Televison Channels:
MTV Hits, Capital TV, Keerang! TV, Kiss TV, and many more.
These channels usually have 'TV' on the end of their name as they were originally a music company without TV, and then they would have created a TV version of their music channel. As TV is a big part of people's lives it wouldn't make sense not to have music videos on the TV as this would then be the main way in which people could consume music videos.
