My intertextuality influences

My influence could be from the film 'War Dogs'. This scene shows a man trying to buy some weed off a few men in the 'hood'. This scene clearly illustrates the scene of the 'hood' and what it's about.
This would be suited to the song that i have chosen to do a music video for because this scene and my song has the same sort of theme.

This is easily shown where a lyric In my song is 'I'm from a place where the gun rate is way too high'.
My song makes me picture a typical representation of what happens in the hood and this scene shows it very well.

Intertextuality in Shrek (Example)

Intertextuality is the relationship between texts. It is the idea that all media texts reference one another in one way or another. for example in Shrek there is a lot of itertextuality showing that intertextuality doesn't just have to be with literal 'texts' it cam be in any form of media.   We can clearly see the intertextuality in this video as this scene is almost made from intertextuality.   The first part of the intertextuality is with the three blind mice. When we see them we remember the nursery rhyme that we sang when we were younger. This is then interrupted by the seven dwarfs pushing snow white onto the table. This reminds the audience of the original text where they were told about the story of snow white and the seven dwarfs.  The next part that we see of this intertextuality is when Shrek goes to the bed and the wolf is in the bed. My Song for my Music Video

Miming lyrics, Not completely right but will fit with the lyrics. I’m from a place where the gun rate is way too high, blow the mouse, seen to many real hustlers die.
