Later on in the song I show a hooded man walking while the camera is circling around him. I show several shots of this edited so that they are shown between the main performance of the music video. I have done this so that the audience question 'who is this?' and 'where are they going?'. I do this earlier on so that it can be before the viewer gets clues as to what is going on hear. The clues are shown through the deal scene. I then have cut it to show the clues as to who the shadowed person is. This is where we see the relationship between the two characters goes wrong with one of them hustling the other within the deal that they are making. I have then added in the face reveal of the man in the hoodie where the audience will recognise him as being the friend that got hustled. After having who he is revealed I have shown the viewers what he is doing with the shot of this character getting a gun out from under his belt. They then see that this chara...

With the narrative of my music video I have spread it out across the video in order to be more effective at implementing my favoured style of narrative where the viewers are asking questions throughout until later on where it gets revealed slowly and all at once at the end. I started softly with the narrative so I put the footage of the two characters playing football just to establish their friendship to the audience. Also to show a contrast to the ending of the narrative of my music video where the two friends have become enemies. After a few shots of the two friends playing football I decided to put in some of the friends chatting and laughing to show the viewers that they are close and solidify the idea of their friendship to the viewers. For this shot i decided to get the two actors to just chat as they would naturally about random things. This gave me a more natural acting look from them so it was a lot more convincing for the viewer. Having edited thes...

The next cut breaks out of slow motion after the two characters are introduced. Like the typical conventions of this genre the rappers are rapping to the camera with handheld camera motion. This then goes on for a while as the song gets started. I have then added fade cuts between shots which are used a lot in my genre. I then have a few different shots of the two artists driving in the car 'reminiscing' about the life on their streets in order to add depth to the music video within the first scene.

At the very start of my music video I have been editing it so that it jump cuts through a long take on the beet of the music. This is also in slow motion so it is similar to the editing of 'Ignition' by R.kelly. I then cut it so it looks like the second artist emerges from behind the first artist. Then when the artists start rapping it cuts to handheld footage of them rapping to the camera.

With this page I stuck to the simplicity of the theme I was going with. As these are up and coming artists they would not have a lot of merchandise to choose from. Again I made this page static so the viewer would not have to scroll down. I found that the dollar sign was a good iconic logo for him as it fits with the typical conventions of the hip hop genre. This was combined with the hat saying 'JEROME' as this will be the main way that the artist's name will be displayed. This type of the name Jerome will show to people that he is 'the' Jerome. This will make people when they see the name like this know that it is this artist as they will remember the way that his name is shown. It is simple but effective. I decided with the limited addition merch to keep the same dollar sign logo so that it would seem as if to be an upgrade from the other white and black dollar signs, therefore making it better for the viewer to purchase that one than the others.
